Dendrons.ai was founded by Nivedita Pandey, an AI and Digital Innovation Leader with a Wharton MBA (Joseph Wharton Fellow) and a distinction in Computer Science Engineering. She started her career at HSBC building the trust and security infrastructure behind digital banking years before it became industry-standard - digital signatures, transaction signing, device identification, two-factor and out-of-band authentication - before spending 16 years building first-in-market digital products and platforms across US, UK and Asian markets, including an Asia-wide Private Capital vertical at Microsoft Singapore. Her work has been trusted by the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub, the World Bank, and India's Central and State governments as Prime Minister's Fellow, and recognised multiple times across the US, UK, Singapore and India.
In the recent past, Nivedita was invited to design and deliver AI envisioning sessions for public sector enterprises, working with ~600 civil servants and PSU executives to discover where AI actually fits inside public institutions. What she learned there - that institutions do not adopt AI until they can trust and audit it - shaped the thesis of Dendrons.ai, bringing her back to where she started: building trust infrastructure, this time for AI instead of digital banking. The same lens produced NitiScope, a public procurement intelligence platform indexing 3.95 million Indian tenders and 3.17 million contract awards.
I have always been curious about almost everything.
Using both my analytical and creative sides, I never saw knowledge as compartmentalised. I could move from one subject to another simply because something caught my interest. There was - and continues to be - a deep joy in learning something new, understanding how things work, and discovering connections between seemingly unrelated ideas.
That curiosity has stayed with me from childhood to this day.
Perhaps that is also why I have always been fascinated by the human brain: its extraordinary ability to receive, process, connect and create.
The name DENDRONS comes from dendron, the Greek word for tree, and evokes the branching structures of neurons. At the synapse, neurons communicate by exchanging signals, creating an intricate network through which information travels and connections are formed.
I was drawn to that idea of branches, signals and connections - different pathways coming together to create something greater than any one of them could produce alone.
It felt like a fitting metaphor for how I think, how I learn, and the kind of intelligence I wanted to build.
DENDRONS.AI is rooted in that vision: connecting knowledge, data, ideas and signals across domains to uncover what would otherwise remain disconnected - and turning those connections into something valuable.
Because I believe some of the most valuable insights don't live within disciplines.
They emerge at the intersections.
